Super Automatic Voltage Guard (AVG 13) – 13A Voltage Switcher & Surge Protector

The Super Automatic Voltage Guard (AVG 13) is a high-performance protective device designed to safeguard your valuable electrical and electronic equipment from the volatile power conditions common in the Nigerian grid. Rated at 13 Amps, this switcher serves as a critical barrier against over-voltage, under-voltage (brownouts), power-back surges, and dangerous spikes. Its built-in microprocessor monitors the incoming power and automatically disconnects your appliances when levels become unsafe, only reconnecting them once the power has stabilized for a set period.

Key Features:

  • Intelligent Voltage Monitoring: Automatically cuts off power when the voltage exceeds or falls below safe operating limits to prevent motor or circuit burnout.

  • Startup Delay (Wait Time): Features a user-adjustable delay (typically 3 to 5 minutes) that protects compressors in fridges and ACs from “gas-lock” and rapid restart damage.

  • Power-Back Surge Protection: Specifically engineered to absorb the massive surge often experienced the moment electricity is restored after a blackout.

  • Visual Status Indicators: Equipped with clear LED lights (Wait/Bad Voltage and On/Good Voltage) to give you at-a-glance confirmation of your power status.

  • High Load Capacity: Rated for up to 13 Amps, making it versatile enough to handle everything from home entertainment systems to large household appliances.

Applications:

  • Large Fridges & Chest Freezers: Essential for protecting expensive compressors.

  • 1HP to 1.5HP Air Conditioners: Ideal for small-to-medium split units.

  • Water Dispensers & Beverage Chillers.

  • Sensitive Electronics: TVs, Sound Systems, and Computers.

 Logistics & Shipping

Market Insight: In Nigeria, power can return at over 280V, which can instantly fry a fridge motor. Elins Nigeria stocks the AVG 13 specifically because its adjustable timer ensures your compressor de-pressurizes before starting again, significantly extending the life of your appliances.

Technical Warning: Do not exceed the 13 Amp rating. While it can handle a 1.5HP AC, using it for a 2HP or 3HP unit may cause the guard to overheat or trip frequently. Elins Nigeria Advice: For the best results with refrigerators, keep the wait time set to at least 3 minutes. Warning: If the “Wait” light stays on for more than 10 minutes, it usually means your local voltage is currently too high or too low for safety—do not bypass the device.
