-
Dual-Purpose ACR Design: Specifically cleaned and dehydrated for use in closed-loop refrigerant circuits, yet perfectly suited for high-end drainage.
-
Oil Return Optimization: Sized at 3/4″ O.D. to maintain critical refrigerant velocity, ensuring compressor oil is effectively trapped and returned up suction risers.
-
Deep-Seal Water Trap: When used for drainage, it provides a robust liquid seal that prevents “air-gulping” in negative pressure drain pans and blocks sewer odors.
-
Solder-Ready Precision: Features precision-machined socket ends for a tight capillary fit, facilitating fast and leak-proof brazing with Harris 0 or silver-bearing alloys.
-
ASTM B280 & B306 Standards: Meets strict industry requirements for wall thickness and cleanliness in both refrigeration and DWV applications.
Applications:
-
ACR Suction Risers: Essential for oil management in 1.5HP to 2HP split systems with long vertical pipe runs.
-
Condensate Drainage: Ideal for 1HP – 1.5HP AC units where a professional, long-lasting metal trap is preferred over plastic.
-
Small Refrigeration Units: Used in commercial reach-in coolers and ice machine drain lines.

Logistics & Shipping
-
Packaging: Hermetically sealed or bagged to maintain internal dehydration and cleanliness.
-
Net Weight: Approx. 0.28 kg.
-
Package Includes: 1x 3/4″ O.D. Copper P-Trap.
Technical Warning: If using for a suction riser, the trap must be at the bottom of the vertical lift.
Elins Nigeria Advice: When brazing this 3/4″ trap, use a small, focused flame. Because the copper is thin and high-purity, it transfers heat very quickly; over-heating can cause the copper to “oxidize” internally, creating flakes that can clog your expansion valve.
Warning: Always purge with dry nitrogen during the brazing process for suction line applications.
